100x 100m Sprints on Christmas Eve

Help me make it meaningful

Inspired by the Brayshaw family, for the last 4 years, Outbreak Ultimate Club players and friends have participated in our annual Christmas Eve "Hundred Hundreds" - one hundred 100m sprints in the summer heat. This year we are using the event to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute - to support crucial mental health research and support services that help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide. 

Outbreak is an elite men's Ultimate Frisbee club based in Adelaide. We play Australian Nationals every year and have recently travelled to Japan and New Zealand for international competitions. As a club with a big focus on conditioning and mateship, we love to see our boys doing tough things together. 100x100's started with a small group of diehard legends and has grown year-on-year into the Christmas tradition it is now. 

This year, we would love to invite the rest of the Australian Ultimate community to join us. From wherever you are in Australia, we encourage you to get your team out and run 100x100's in solidarity! Nothing is more fun than sweating with your mates, especially for a good cause. 

For those in Adelaide wishing to join in-person, we'll be running at the University of Adelaide Oval on McKinnon Parade. Details TBD.

DIY 100x100's:
- Set two cones 100m apart. 
- Set a timer or workout for 100x 35-second intervals.
- Share a picture with us! We'd love to know who's joining and where in the world you're participating from.

PRO TIPS:
- Get up early to beat the heat!
- Bring your teammates - doing hard things is easier together.
- Wear something Christmassy. 

Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them.
