Run for Vicki

Hi Everyone,

 Whether you are a runner, a walker or like myself someone who does not run for fun, I am challenging you to join Chris and I at the Sydney Bridge Run on September 19th, 2021. 

Earlier this year, my beautiful and beloved sister Victoria, left us suddenly as she quietly and unrecognized by many; fought and lost her struggle with her mental health illness. Through COVID, closed borders and separation of family, friends and those whom loved Vicki the most, Chris and I decide no better time to muster up support for a great organization and to help raise awareness surrounding mental health. 

Sadly, we acknowledge that Vicki will not be the last person to be lost to a mental health illness and we strongly believe having a conversation, checking in on one another and supporting organizations like Black Dog, change can occur albeit one friend, colleague, brother, sister, family member at a time.  

 So we call out to all you weekend warriors and couch potatoes to challenge yourself to the family fun run, Bridge Run, Half Marathon or (If you are as ambitious as Chris) Marathon.

Finally, to our wonderful family and friends overseas, we miss you dearly and look forward to the day, the world “normalizes” and we can embrace one another again. Although you may not be here physically to run with us, you will forever be in our hearts.
