Help me make it meaningful
Late last year and earlier this year, I went through one of the hardest periods of my life and had to make some major changes in order to prioritise my physical health. However, these decisions also took a huge toll on my mental health.
Now, things are slowly getting better, and being able to train again feels like getting a part of myself back.
That’s why I’ve decided to run the Melbourne Running Prix Half Marathon in September to raise money for the Black Dog Institute.
Mental health struggles and suicide are still treated as taboo topics far too often, despite affecting countless Australians every year. I know firsthand how isolating those experiences are, and I also know how important support, compassion and early intervention can be.
The Black Dog Institute does vital work in suicide prevention, mental health support, education and research, and I’m incredibly proud to support them through this fundraiser.
Thank you so much to anyone who donates, shares the page, or simply supports me along the way. Every contribution genuinely means a lot.
