We're walking with mates for mental health awareness

Clubs for a Cause 2021 is a charity walk undertaken by community Clubs and their suppliers on the anniversary of the 2020 COVID shutdown announcement. The event is a collaborative project organised by volunteers from venues and industry suppliers alike to raise money for the Black Dog Institute and mental health research. The walk will take place on Saturday, 27th March from the Coolangatta Surf Club finishing at the Currumbin RSL.

Mental illness affects 1 in 5 Australians every year, with the most common being depression and anxiety. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It affects people from all walks of life — individuals, families, workplaces and communities.

Hi Team, thank you so much for your support. its amazing to see so many people not just scroll past but actually hook in and contribute. I am really touched by the impact our event is making. Mental Health Awareness has come a long way in the last couple of years but has so far to go. My next focus will be making this real in our clubs. What does this mean? - just wait and see.
