Mental illness affects millions of Australians – colleagues, friends, family members, and teammates. The work of the Black Dog Institute in research, education and suicide prevention is saving lives, but continued impact requires continued support.

Suicide is the leading cause of death among Australians aged 15 to 44. The work done by the Black Dog Institute, and supported by events like this, is crucial in reducing that number.

We're riding for 7 days, hitting 780 kilometres, and climbing 8,500 vertical metres - this cause is very close to my heart and I'll be thinking of the friends and family that I've lost to suicide - your memory will last forever and drive me on during the tougher times & climbs of this cycle.
