Anniversary
Monday 12th OctThis Wednesday, 14 October, is the third anniversary of the Voice referendum.
A lot of fine people put their hearts into the Yes campaign. For many, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander friends and communities, the result was deeply painful. That hurt hasn’t simply disappeared with time.
And across our community, so many others are struggling with their mental health for all sorts of reasons. People we know and love, sometimes without us knowing what they’re going through.
This is a cause close to my heart. Next week, I’ll start riding from Sydney to Byron Bay, then on to North Stradbroke Island, raising money for Black Dog Institute.
